Linked relations
n = c₁V₁
c₁V₁ = c₂V₂
c₂ = n / V₂
The workspace deliberately computes the final concentration by the dilution relation and independently by n/V₂ from the same sampled amount.

Cross-checked c₂
Residual
A zero residual confirms the two registered calculation paths agree for the same explicit solution state.
Explain the workflow
Scientific boundary
This workspace uses amount concentration in mol L⁻¹ and solution volume. It does not infer solute identity, molar mass, density, activity, ionic strength, pH or non-ideal solution behavior.
Dilution assumes the amount of the tracked solute is conserved. Reaction, precipitation, decomposition, evaporation, transfer loss and volume contraction are outside this bounded model.
The final-volume input is total solution volume. Adding 75 mL solvent to 25 mL solution is not universally equivalent to a 100 mL final solution unless the final volume is actually made up to 100 mL.
